Objective:
Select One photographer from the Magnum Photos. Select 5 works of the photographer and talk about the body of work and also about the technical and compositional aspects of their work!
- There are patterns created by the spaces between the trees, and it looks visually appealing.
- The canopy of the trees has no fixed shape or pattern but they seem to follow one rule: don't touch thy neighbour, perhaps for better resource utilization.
- The leaves essentially claim their spot, whoever reaches first gets a right to the area.
- Maybe the photographer was a nature enthusiast and wanted to capture this 'communication' the trees have - how poetical.
- This is a prime example of freeze photography, keeping in mind rule of thirds as well.
- The little kids look like they're trying to fly or maybe do a 'trust fall', using the mattress to not get hurt. The kid on the bicycle looks engrossed with his toy and there's not a lot of communication amongst the children that can be seen.
- In terms of contrast, it can be seen that the building in the background looks well-maintained and posh, however, just opposite to it kids are making use of unwanted things like mattress that was probably thrown out of the house. As a viewer, it seems like the photographer was trying to capture the moment.
- There's patterns and contrast.
- The raincoats are bright and pop out.
- The photograph seems a little under exposed but that works since it helps enhance the contrast.
- There's a balance and rule of thirds both in this picture, which seems like a contradiction, but the photographer has proved it wrong.
- The sky covers roughly 2/3rds of the picture while the soil and shrubs covering the rest make a good foreground.
- There's lighting that plays a pivotal role as well since the centerpiece has more light falling on it.
- This picture can be seen as a good combination of leading lines and patterns.
- There's also rule of thirds that's applicable.
